We’re Heather and Liz — two women from Florida who became sisters through marriage, best friends through life, and each other’s greatest support through our toughest moments. Suds in Sandals was born from love, loss, and the need to find healing in something gentle. 

Our journey began when my husband, Marc — Liz’s brother — was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. In the middle of our grief, we searched for a way to breathe again, to ground ourselves, and to create something meaningful. We found that comfort in soapmaking. Every swirl, scent, and bar became a small piece of peace we could hold onto. 

Marc was able to witness the beginning of this dream before he passed. One of our very first soaps, Grey Storm, was created just for him — and he used it every single day. His encouragement and love continue to inspire everything we make. 

Today, Suds in Sandals is more than a small business. It’s a reminder of how important self-care is, how essential it is to find moments of stillness, and how handmade things can carry comfort during both the hard days and the ordinary ones. 

Every product we offer is crafted by hand, with love, intention, and a little bit of Florida sunshine. We hope our creations bring you warmth, comfort, and a moment of peace in your own journey.
